Mother’s Day Dinner with Miele

 

Hi Everyone!

As you know I’m collaborating with Miele as their SA Brand Ambassador, and besides being in the middle of a super exciting kitchen renovation with them, we also hosted our first event together last week.

When I announced our partnership in May we kicked off with a Mother’s Day competition that ran throughout the month, and gave 15 Mum’s and Daughter’s the chance to join myself and the Miele team at a three course dinner at the Miele HQ in Bryanston. The event was held on Monday 3 July, and it all went off beautifully. Here are a few snippets and snapshots from the night.

We kicked off with Pink Gin Fizz cocktails and canapés in the gorgeous Miele showroom, which gave everyone the chance to admire and learn more about their incredible appliances. After that we headed into the main dining area for a cooking demo and our three course dinner. On the menu was Trout with Honey-Ginger Dressing and Courgette Noodles; Pork Belly with Caramelised Apples and Red Onions, Cauli Mash and a Cider Gravy and we ended off with healthy Hot Chocolate and my gluten and refined-sugar free Millionaire’s Shortbread Tart.

Hugest thanks to all the wonderful ladies who joined us, it was such a treat to meet you all and spend an evening with you! And of course to Miele for hosting us all so generously, particularly to Gerhard (events manager) Liam and Mercia (marketing and sales) for their warm welcome and care throughout the evening; to Lisa from La Motte for bringing along the most delicious wines to pair with our meal, as well as lots of interesting background information on them; the amazing team at Horn & Phillips for their outstanding catering support (as always); and Robyn Simpson for the photos.
