Turmeric and Ginger Kefir Breakfast Shots
One of my favorite food superheroes with über health-boosting benefits that I have on a daily basis is yoghurt-like Kefir. You can read more about it in my how-to guide over here.
It’s kind of a home made yoghurt, originally from parts of Eastern Europe and Southwest Asia. Because it’s fermented it tastes a little bit sour but that just means that it’s ridiculously good for your gut health, and if you mix in a little honey, nuts and other goodies like I’ve suggested below for my ‘Breakfast Shots’ it’s delicious.
Also, thanks to my friends at Faithful to Nature for collaborating on this recipe with me, and for supplying the best quality pantry ingredients to bring this recipe to life. And guess what?! You can get R100 OFF any order over R350 with the code SARAH – yay!

You can make these in small glass jars the day before to enjoy on-the-go or at your desk.
Try making little 'Breakfast Bowls' by layering these ingredients into a small bowl along with a handful of nuts and raisins or cranberries or fresh berries, and 3-4 Tbsp greek yoghurt.
