The Happy-Making Stellenbosch Fresh Goods Market

If you’ve read my post on the glorious Neighbourgoods Market in Cape Town, you’ll know I have a penchant for fresh produce, especially the kind that you can eat and browse. Nothing tastes better than a Saturday stroll through a vibey food market, and The Fresh Goods Market just outside Stellenbosch is no exception.

We randomly stumbled upon the market on our drive back from Franshhoek on Saturday morning – where we’d stayed at the utterly charming Klein Oliphants Hoek Hotel, which I’ll write more about soon.

The market’s delightful and wholly happy-making. A plethora of beautiful, unpretentious food from all around the world against the backdrop of the Stellenbosch mountains – really, it’s postcard stuff and you need to check it out soon – you could even try and make it for the CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS MARKET THIS FRIDAY NIGHT…!
