Hey friends! I had the most ridiculous amount of fun at the Good Food & Wine Show in Cape Town this weekend. It was epic in every sense of the word – from catching up with our brilliant South African and Michelin-starred Jan-Hendrik van der Westhuizen, to meeting the irreplaceable Reza Mahammad, and the legendary Marco Pierre-White (and chatting about everything from smoked oysters to his beautiful ballet dancer daughter over a few glasses of wine) at our Chef’s Dinner at the Table Bay Hotel (and yes Marco is exactly as charming, terrifying, fascinating and inspiring as you would imagine), where we were spoilt rotten by Jocelyn, Joanne and their teams (thank you again for the amazing food and hospitality); to hanging out in the Green Room with all the chef’s back stage (and all the craziness that goes with it); and of course all the demos and meeting the amazing, inspiring people who came to join us. Thank you #GFWS2017 for everything. I can’t wait for Joburg in July and Durban in October!
