Magic at La Motte

 

We had the most magical time at our La Motte Cape Winelands Inspired Spring Feast last week – I can’t quite describe the warm welcome that we received from the whole La Motte family, and particularly Chef Michelle Theron and her incredible team in the kitchen. It was unique and heartwarming.

The collaboration was fun from the very first brainstorming emails and phone calls that Michelle and I shared – she even couriered local fynbos such as Cape Snowbush and Buchu to me in Joburg, along with some of La Motte’s exquisite essential oils, so that I could taste and create and test out ideas. What followed was a beautiful fynbos-themed menu that I think we were both extremely proud of.

Thank you once again so much to Hein Koegelenberg and the La Motte family for such a warm welcome, and to your extraordinary Chef Michelle for the honour of collaborating on this with you!
