Here are a few of my favourite snapshots from Episode 6 of #SarahFoodSafari – It’s our last episode on Mozambique before we head back in to South Africa and to the wonderland that is the Isimangaliso Wetland Park, and we find ourselves in the little town of Ponta d’Ouro. Ponta is cute and quirky and full of character, and it’s the nearest Mozambican town to South Africa.

Bev and Mandy at Gala Gala Eco Resort gave us the warmest welcome (including little Pasteis de Nata tarts and yummy Prego Chicken Rolls, thanks again!). It’s the perfect spot for a Mozambican holiday – the  self-catering cabanas give you the ultimate tropical holiday feel and are all brightly decorated and equipped with everything you could need, so we felt at home immediately and Sophie and Isla were so happy there.

After we were settled in, we headed off at sunrise to join Casey and the team at The Dolphin Centre for our pre-Dolphin Swim briefing. Being out on the ginormous blue ocean is without doubt one of the most magical experiences you can imagine, and worth every second of trekking all the way to Mozambique and traversing crazy roads to get there.

In this Episode we feast on delicious Prego Beef Skewers, fire-grilled Crayfish with a herb butter basting, Watermelon Lollies with a Dark Chocolate Drizzle and the sweetest little Coconut Date Balls – yum!
