Banana Nice Cream

Hey friends! It’s feeling like Spring is within reach, which means ice cream is definitely on the menu in our house, and this Banana Nice Cream is the perfect recipe for this in-between weather. Also, because it’s full of goodness it makes a perfect kiddie-friendly healthy sweet treat 🙂 Definitely try it soon, and I can’t wait to hear what you think!

And thanks to my friends at Nutribullet and Baby Bullet for collaborating on this recipe with me! We’ll be giving away a machine soon soon, so keep an eye on my instagram feed for updates!

Ingredients

Cooks in:        Serves:2

  • 2 large ripe bananas, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter (no added sugar or salt)
  • 1 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1-2 Tbsp cold milk/yoghurt or just water for dairy-free, to loosen if necessary
  • Toasted nuts, to serve (optional)

What to do

1. Place the bananas in a freezer-proof container and freeze for at least 3 hours.

2. Once the banana pieces are frozen, place in a Babybullet with the remaining ingredients and blitz until you have a smooth consistency. Serve immediately with a scattering of toasted nuts, or return to the freezer for 15-20 minutes to firm up a little more if you prefer.
