Dark Chocolate and Hazelnut Tiles
Ingredients
Cooks in: Serves:Makes 12-15
- 300g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
- ½ cup roughly chopped roasted and salted hazelnuts
- Pinch of sea salt flakes (optional)
What to do
1. Line a baking tray with baking paper. 2. Heat the chocolate over a double boiler until it is almost melted, then stir gently until you have a silky consistency. 3. In a dry pan, roast the hazelnuts over low-medium heat until golden. Set aside to allow to cool. 4. Pour the mixture onto the baking paper, using a spatula or palette knife to spread it out as thinly as possible (roughly ½ cm) into a rough square, then sprinkle over the chopped nuts and sea salt flakes. 4. Leave to set at room temperature, or refrigerate for about 2 hours, before slicing or breaking into tiles to serve on a small platter.
