Guys! We are just ONE WEEK AWAY from the start of our next season of #SarahFoodSafari – the fun kicks off in Mozambique next Monday 9th January on M-Net at 6pm, and we’re so excited to share it with you! It’s been a crazy-fun whirlwind between last season and now, and I’ll be posting lost more snippets and snapshots and behind-the-scenes madness along the way, so make sure you sign-up for our newsletters and follow along on Instagram and Facebook so that you don’t miss out!

This season takes us all the way from the beautiful, balmy, palm-tree lined beaches of Mozambique, and the bustling, colourful chaos of Maputo through to the bush of the Kruger National Park area, teeming with wildlife and campfire stories.

We spent a whole month on the road filming in November, mostly up before sunrise and pushing through 14 hour days, traversing endless winding dirt roads, sometimes dodging elephants, cooking in 40C heat – often in the middle of the bush, and even on a rooftop overlooking the tree-lined avenues of Maputo. And as we’ve seen it all come to life on our screens while we’ve been working through the edits over the last few weeks, it’s been so rewarding to see that it was worth every second of it. We had an epic adventure that made me realise more than ever that TV is a team-thing. Without our ridiculously amazing crew and production team, who I love with my whole heart, and who go above and beyond on any given day and are an inspiration from hour to hour, and without my family’s support, especially Rob and my Mum and Precious, caring for our sweet girls every step of the way, it would all be pretty much impossible. I’m so proud of what we’ve all achieved together, we think we’ve made something magical, and I can’t wait to hear what you think.

In Episode 1 we’re in the little seaside town of Tofo, and I’ll be cooking some local favourites with my new friend Sonia. We also venture out on a dhow, and head off to the island where Sonia grew up. You can head over to the TV page for all the Episode information and the full recipes (they go live after each episode airs), and you can also read more about our legendary sponsors over here – without them, our bush-kitchen wouldn’t exist in the first place, and for that we are all endlessly grateful.

And while I’m here – I wish you all a sparkly, magical 2017 – may it be a shiny adventure that leaves you with happy hearts.

Sarah xx
