Cashew Breakfast Shakes with Greenis

Hello friends, I’d like to introduce you to one of my favourite new kitchen finds – the very gorgeous Greenis. The team recently sent me one to try out, and not only are they smashingly good looking, they have brains too. Get this…
– you get all the goodness via their ‘maximum nutrient extraction’ system that combines high powered commercial grade blending with digital speed controls and super smart technology
– highest quality and durability
– snazzy touchscreen interface and genius programming
– built in stabilizer and less noise
– there are 6 ‘smart blend programmes’ that meet all your needs, from cocktails (ice is no problem) to smoothies, soups and everything in between (even pizza dough is a breeze)
– BPA free 2L jug (this is fab because so many other blenders have only about half this capacity)
– Kiddie lock (game changer)
– THEN, and I love this, there’s DIY programming that means you can create and save your very own blending programme (up to 18 steps)

Why not bag yourself or your favourite friend or family member one for Christmas?
Available via Takealot and Yuppiechef – priced from R3,999

In the mean time, I’ll leave you with this delicious, full-of-goodness Three Minute Cashew Breakfast Shake.

Ingredients

Cooks in:        Serves:2

  • ½ cup raw cashew nuts
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 2 pitted dates
  • 2 shots hot espresso
  • 2 Tbsp chia seeds
  • ½ tsp vanilla paste or extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 frozen banana (optional)
  • Ice cubes (if preferred cold)

What to do

1. Soak the dates in the hot espresso for 5  minutes to soften.
2. Place everything into the 2L Greenis jug. Add ice cubes if a cold shake is preferred. Blend on the Juice pre-set.
3. Transfer to small glass jars and enjoy.

With the power of a Greenis blender, there is no need to pre-soak or strain the cashews or worry about the ice cubes damaging the blades. It blends it all up so quickly and smoothly, you can just enjoy the creamy goodness!
