Peanut Butter Porridge with Cinnamon Pears

Hey friends! Emily’s favourite breakfast ever (and possibly one of mine too!) is creamy Peanut Butter Porridge, so I’m always looking for new ways to add in lots of extra goodness, like these delicious wintery pears. This recipe is totally fuss-free to throw together (especially with our snazzy Baby Bullet) and it’s also full of goodness and keeps for up to a week in the fridge. Make some soon! X

And thanks to my friends at Nutribullet and Baby Bullet for collaborating on this recipe with me! We’ll be giving away a machine soon soon, so keep an eye on my instagram feed for updates!

Ingredients

Cooks in:        Serves:2

  • 1/4 cup whole rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup filtered water
  • 1/4 cup coconut or plant-based milk
  • 1⁄2 tsp cinnamon
To Serve
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 ripe pear, cored and quartered
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup

What to do

1. Add all of the porridge ingredients to a small saucepan and simmer gently for 15 minutes or until the porridge is creamy and cooked through. Add extra liquid as you go if necessary.

2. For the pear: Stew gently until the pear has softened and then blend in Babybullet.

3. Mix the blended pears through the oats porridge.
